The two things a strap upgrade fixes
- Comfort. A good strap moves weight off your cheeks and onto the crown and back of your head, so the headset stops pressing on your face.
- Power. A battery strap adds a rechargeable pack at the back and lets you keep playing past the built-in battery. Hot-swap models change packs without taking the headset off.

BOBOVR's straps use three different battery platforms, and they do not swap between each other:

Which Quest 3 head strap is the most comfortable?
Comfort comes from how a strap distributes weight, not from padding alone. Look for a rigid halo frame, a rear counterweight, and multi-point adjustment. The M3 is BOBOVR's battery-free comfort strap; the M3 Pro+ and S3 Pro add that comfort structure plus a battery.
Do I need a battery strap for the Quest 3?
Only if the built-in battery runs out before you're done. If your sessions are short, a comfort strap is enough. If you play longer, a hot-swap battery strap lets you keep going without stopping to charge.
Will one strap's battery work with another BOBOVR strap?
No. BOBOVR uses three battery platforms - B2 (5,200mAh), BM60 (6,500mAh), and B100 (10,000mAh) - and their straps and docks are not interchangeable. Match the battery to your specific strap.
Does the fan on the S3 Pro cool the headset?
The S3 Pro's fan moves air across your face for airflow during play. Pair it with the F3 facial interface's forehead vent for the most airflow.
