【Battery Description】
The key indicator that shows the battery level is on the right side of the battery.
The USB-C of B100 only supports input and does not support output. So it cannot be used as a mobile power source.
The B100 is powered by 2 x 5000mAh/3.65V cells, 10000mAh is the total capacity of the cells
B100 can be automatically calibrated.
【How To Charge】
B100 USB port adopts dynamic charging power, the maximum power is 15W, please use 5V3A charger to charge.
We suggest using Quest's original charger and charging cable, or the charging cable we provide, to charge B100 separately.
The indicator lights of the battery are normal, but if the charging time becomes longer or cannot be fully charged, there is a significant relationship between the charging cable and the charger. Need to use high-quality chargers and charging cables.
Charging time of different chargers:
USB C 5V2A: Charging time is about 4 hours, usually about 4 hours and 10 minutes;
USB C 5V3A: Charging time is about 3.5 hours, usually about 3 hours and 25 minutes.
The battery utilizes fast charging to quickly reach 80% of its capacity, then switches to a slower trickle charge. The time required to reach the initial 80% may vary depending on your charging device. If the battery temperature exceeds the set threshold, charging will pause temporarily and resume once the temperature decreases.
【Charging With Quest 3?】
When the B100 is plugged into the USB charging cable and magnetized to the S3, there will be 2 scenarios:
- When B100 is above 5% and below 30%, only B100 may be fully charged. The Quest 3 charges for a while and then stops charging and only charges the B100.
- When B100 is above 30%, both B100 and quest 3 will be filled. However, B100 will be consumed by quest 3.
The above is for 5V 3A charger, the actual situation is slightly different from the above. Also, please make sure your charger will not activate the auto power off function, otherwise the B100 will not reach 100%.
Official recommendation: Charge the B100 and quest3 separately. Use a good quality charger as well as charging cable to charge B100 separately.
【Repeated Connect The Charging Cable】
Needs to be plugged in several times to charge possible reasons:
- The connected USB cable is of poor quality or too long, resulting in B100 input undervoltage not charging. Or the 5V output of the charger can not be continuously stabilized resulting in B100 input undervoltage protection.
- When the power level is below 0%, when the power level is particularly low, plugging in the USB may take a few seconds before the indicator lights up.
- When the B100 power is lower than 1%, it is in trickle charging state, the charging current is relatively small. If the charger or charging cable has an automatic power-off function, it may stop charging.
Official Recommendation: Replace a good quality charger as well as charging cable to charge the B100 separately.
【Plug In Charger Indicator Does Not Light Up When Power Is Low】
After the B100 power is below 0%, if it has not been charged for a long time, in order to protect the battery cell will enter a deep sleep state, at this time, pressing the button will not show the power level, and plugging in the charger will also need to wait a few seconds to wake up the battery. If there is a serious power loss, the waiting time will be longer.
【Power Indicator Not Light Up After Magnetization】
The power indicator does not light up when the B100 is magnetized?
The indicator light does not come on when the B100 is discharged, it only comes on continuously when charging.
【B100 Charging Exclusion Index】
Regarding the B100 not charging, please make the following judgments:
-
If the battery is extremely low, it is recommended not to charge it while attached to the headstrap. Instead, take it off from the headstrap and charge it separately.
-
Use the original charger and cable for Quest to charge. First, ensure that the charging cable can charge the Quest. Using a splitter or an overly long USB cable may result in no charging.
-
If the B100 battery level is very low and there are no indicator lights when pressing the button, the charging indicator light may take about 3-5 seconds to turn on. For those that have been completely discharged and not used for a long time or have not been charged for a long time, the charging indicator light may take about 5 minutes to turn on. Please charge the B100 separately, using the original Quest charger and charging cable, or with the charging cable we provided. Please wait for 5 minutes and observe the charging indicator light of the B100.
-
Charging the Quest in a sealed bag or in an environment with high temperatures can cause the battery temperature to be too high. When charging the battery again, it may be temperature-protected, and it will automatically resume charging after about 10 minutes when the temperature decreases.
-
Please flip the USB charging cable connector and see if both sides of the charging cable affect the charging function of the B100.
If you are charging the B100 by attaching it to the S3Pro, please make sure to disconnect the connection cable between the S3Pro and the Quest 3 at this time. When checking the battery level of the B100, please do not hold down the power button on the B100. Simply press the button once to check the battery level.
If the problem still cannot be resolved after following the above judgments, check for any fault codes (Tested completely according to the video in the attachment) :
Connect the B100 to the charger and charging cable, and then place it on the S3 Pro/E3Pro. After the display screen turns off, click the scroll wheel button once and observe whether there will be a fault code prompt on the display screen (please note that the connection cable of the S3 Pro/E3Pro does not need to be connected to the Quest at this time).
Please provide a video of the operation, a clear back photo of the battery and your order invoice.
Official recommendation: Charge the B100 and quest3 separately. Use a good quality charger as well as charging cable to charge B100 separately. It is recommended that when users do not use it for a long time, they should charge it to 60% or above, preferably 60-80%, and store it separately. Do not place it on a charging dock or headstraps.
